TOUR OF DUTY: 40 hours per week
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All current USFK KN employees located in Area IV, serviced by Civilian Human Resources Agency - Far East Region
NOTE: 1. Target Grade of this position is KGS-7. If the position is filled at the lower grade than target grade, the incumbent may be promoted to target grade non-competitively upon satisfactory completion of the job requirements, recommendation by the supervisor, and subject to meeting time-in-grade and qualification requirements. 2. This position has been designated as KN EMERGENCY-ESSENTIAL (MISSION ESSENTIAL). KN EE (ME) Position Agreement Form (USFK Form 200EK) must be signed prior to appointment of the selectee for this position. 3. Relocation Allowance will NOT be authorized for the selectee from outside the commuting area.
KGS-7 : Performs technical and quality control inspections in any of the four activity areas: Receiving, Cyclic, Care and Preservation (C&P), and Shipping. Inspects equipment and supplies in the following material categories: B (Other Support Equipment, Ground Forces Support Material), E (General Supplies, DSA/GSA Items), F (Clothing and Textiles), G (Communication and Electronics), H (Air Materials)) L (Missile Material), M (Weapons and Self-Propelled Weapons), 0 (Electronic Material DSA/GSA Items), R Certain Chemical and Solid Fuels) and T (industrial Supplies, DSA/GSA Items). Inspections assigned are comprised primarily of major end items with many components and subassemblies. These items include tracked/wheeled vehicles, construction equipment, material handling equipment, and communication shelters. Inspection and testing methods include visual inspection, component tear down inspection, functional testing, and specially designed tests as specified in various reference sources. Work requires knowledge of quality control methods, principles, and practices, pertinent product characteristics and applicable production maintenance, or repair methods and processes, to include skill in interpreting and applying product specifications, technical data, regulations and guideline materials, and conducting studies and investigations and problem analysis Completes all required inspection forms, reports and quality feedback information. When any deficiencies are found in any areas, initiates corrective action request along with recommendations in English. Performs other duties as assigned.
KGS-5: One year of specialized experience at grade level of KGS-4 or equivalent.
KGS-6: One year of specialized experience at grade level of KGS-5 or equivalent.
KGS-7: One year of specialized experience at grade level of KGS-6 or equivalent.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Progressively responsible work which indicates ability to acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be credited, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower grade level.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY: The approval of management panel to determine English conversational skill is required.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE : 1. Successfully completed education of four years above the high school level in a ROKG authorized or recognized university may be substituted for the experience required at grade KGS-5. 2. Education cannot be substituted above the KGS-5 level.
